Benefits

What it changes for you.
And for your team.

One tool, two points of view: what the owner gains, what the server sees. And, further down, what we don't do yet — because that matters in the decision too.

30-day free trial · no commitment · no commission

For the restaurant owner

You sign, you pay, you carry the responsibility.

Here's what the tool concretely changes in your establishment — and nothing more.

Nothing out of your own pocket

No commission on tips. The subscription depends on team size — €29, €49 or €79 — never on the volume collected.

€3,000 in tips: €79 on Pro, versus €150 at a 5% commission.

Your team stays

Tips no longer disappear into a pot nobody sees. Each server checks their share in their history. What's visible gets argued about less, and leaves less.

No more tip jar

No float to prepare, no midnight counting, no 'who took what'. The customer pays by card, the tip is collected and tracked, and the split is locked at the moment of payment.

The paperwork takes care of itself

An exportable history per server, per service and per period. Your accountant starts from a real record, not a hand-rebuilt spreadsheet.

The tax and social treatment of tips remains your responsibility and your accountant's.

Nothing to install, nothing to plug in

No till to change, no terminal, no NFC, no technical intervention. A printable set of table tents, one QR per table, five minutes.

And to be complete

What it doesn't do

A benefits page that only says good things doesn't help anyone decide. Here are the limits, exactly as they already appear in our comparison.

No NFC

We work with QR codes. Some competitors offer stickers; we don't charge for them because we don't offer them.

No POS integration

That's a choice: nothing to plug in. In return, we can't read your average ticket.

Card fees exist, with or without us

A card payment costs fees, whether it goes through your bank or Stripe. It's not a Pourboire.io commission: they add to the subscription and are never deducted from the share paid to the team.

The subscription is due even without tips

A slow month at €200 in tips costs us more than a commission. That's the price of predictability, and we prefer to say so.

Why Stripe, not a bank

Because a bank contract means opening a merchant account, renting a terminal and renegotiating a relationship. Stripe activates online, with no bank behind it: you can switch banks tomorrow without switching tools, and we have no interest in keeping you in one establishment over another.

The cost, however, doesn't disappear: it moves. At high volume, a negotiated deal with your bank can be cheaper than Stripe. That's to be compared with your statement, not with our page.

The fee detail appears on the statement for every payout, in the dashboard.

For the team

What the server sees, once the QR is on the table.

The tool isn't only for the boss. Behind the counter, here's what really changes.

  • « I see what I earn. »

In real time, no mental arithmetic at the end of service and no photo of the pot.

  • « My share is locked at the moment of payment. »

It isn't recalculated afterwards, nor decided at the end of the month.

  • « I no longer carry cash. »

Less risk, less loss, less 'I don't have change'.

  • « My history is mine. »

The service, the month, the year. I check my total whenever I want.

  • « The customer can leave a note. »

A tip with a message is no longer an anonymous bill.

Are you a server and your establishment has no tool yet?

Send this page to your boss. A link with numbers convinces better than an end-of-service argument — and the 30-day trial commits them to nothing.

The four questions that keep coming back

Does the team have to install an app?
No. The server installs nothing: the establishment creates the account, the server logs in and sees their tips. The customer scans the QR with their phone camera, no account, no app.
Who decides the split between servers?
You. Equal shares, by service or by role: the establishment defines the rule, and the app locks the shares at the moment of payment. Each server finds theirs in their history.
Where does the money go, and when?
The payout is automatic to the establishment's connected account, on Stripe's standard schedule: a few business days, not instantly. The detail of each payout is in the dashboard.
What if my tip volume is low?
Below €580 in monthly tips on Solo, a 5% commission is still cheaper than our subscription. It's written in black and white in the comparison, because it's better to know before signing.
